Why Use a Crochet Wrist Wallet

She stood by the opened door and let the sunshine dance across her face. She silently felt gratitude for this morning sweep across her body. Before she left, she made sure to grab her wrist pouch. It had taken no time at all to make and was perfect for storing her keys and ID while she went on her morning run. Stretching out her legs one final time, she began at a brisk, easy pace, taking the familiar, beautiful path.

Row 6 – 7: 1 linked dc in each of the next 14 sts, ch 2, turn

Fasten off after row 7.

Feel free to make the extensions (rows 5-7) longer by adding more rows. That will increase the pouch to have more storage volume.

Sewing the side together to make a Wrist Pouch

Fold the extensions over such that about one row of each extension lay over each other. Then sew the sides together.

Adding a button and a loop

Using the yarn end on one side sew on a button that is about 3/4 inch. On the opposite side, crochet a loop that has 6 chains (sl st to the first ch to create a loop). Weave in all the ends.

Adding the magnetic snaps

Feel free to use non-magnetic ones if needed due to health concerns.

I add the thicker side of the magnetic snap on the inside of the pouch.

I glued (with hot glue) the thinner side of the magnetic snap to the outer part of the pouch (to prevent the back from being seen).
